Hi Guys,

I see that when connecting with any laptop it doesn’t redirect to the splash page, you have to physically type in a url to get redirected to the splash page.

The other thing I noticed is we are allowing and denying the same url, any reason for that?

Yes, it is normal that you view the login page only when you try to reach some URLs and not when you are simply connected to the WiFi Network. Laptops working in a different way of, for example, the smarthphone.
About the deny walled-garden the deny walled-garden is on a different path.
For example if you enable the google+ login, HSNM adds the google.com on the walled-garden (allow), but disable the google search (deny walled-garden)

I hope to help you

Would it be possible to get an instant redirection once the users laptop or desktop connects to the Hotspot? This is quite crucial to us.

Unfortunatly no because it not depends from HSNM but from the Operating System (Android, iOS, Windows, ecc.) of the device

Last question, Why do we allow the domain msftncsi.com, can we remove that from the walled garden?

These domains are allowed to disable the CNA (Captive Network Assistant, so the automatic open of a sort of minibrowser when you connect on a wifi network) on WindowsPhone because otherwise they are not able to load, for example, the youtube video.

Can this be selectively removed and added.

IE if a site does not use videos. We would want for the browser to pop up.
