EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Hi support,

The GDPR which is coming in next year (http://www.eugdpr.org/) states that users must be able to access the information we store about them.

I know they have access to their ‘User Profile’ however do you know if there are any plans to make this available when users are not on one of our networks? I.e. could we make their profile sections available to them by logging in to the HSNM portal from anywhere, the same way administrators do?

With users who ‘register without password’, I assume the best way to make sure it was them accessing their information would be to send them an e-mail link when they want to access the info we store about them.

Many Thanks

Hi Costa

HSNM already gives you the ability to display the Profile App even from the external.

In practice, you have to develop an external page that requires the username and password and then displays this URL in an IFrame:
http://domainname/portal/app/profile/in ... =0&lang=en

The DefaultPage parameter defines the index of the page displayed: 0 = Devices; 1 = Change profile; 2 = Change password; etc.
The lang parameter defines the language for the user. It will be available in the next version.

Best Regards
