Hello,

Is it possible to have a transparent login process in the config, meaning the guest/user would simply connect to the wireless network and instead of the normal login page captive portal, they would instead be redirected to the specified URL redirect that we select. no login, just a redirect. this would be an ideal solution for some clients.

No, it is not possible.
What you can do, on Mikrotik gateway, is to add the MAC of the user's device to the IP-Binding list: in this way the user can surf the internet without any login (so without be redirected to welcome portal) but also without any redirect to a specified URL
