by humzakhan » 04 Jul 2019, 11:07

Dear HSNM Team,

We have 50 gateways and users logs are not saving in different files. Only 4 files are showing in user logs. Please guide.

Hi,

how did you configure your gateways in relation to log?

Did you enable the IP Filter in the User Traffic Log menu under System Settings?

Let us know,

Best Regards.

Hi,

ok about the IP Filter but, What about the configuration you did for the log in the Gateway?

Provide us as much information as you can.

Furthermore, I suggest you to have a look at the Administration Manual where you can find further information about log and their configuration/use.

Best Regards.

Hi,

did you set something in the "Ingternet Connection IP Address or DynDNS Name" field?

Hi,

what do you mean with "IP which we are using for WAN"? Do you mean the IP of the internet connection or the IP you set to the gateway WAN?

If you set the IP, you have to be sure to set the public IP address of the internet connection where the gateway is connected to. Or the public IP of the gateway if it has one.

being the IP filter not activated at system settings level, you don't need to set the IP address in the gateway section. If you don't enable the IP filter HSNM will accept log from any IP. If you enabled it, then you must configure the IP address at gateway level in order to be able to send log to HSNM.

Best Regards.

Hi,

is the 1514 port, for syslog, opened in the firewall?

Please read the Administration Manual in order to get further information.

Best Regards.
