Email verification

Hi,
We were asked to implement on one of our gateways email verification: first when a client comes allow him 5-10 min courtesy wifi, enough time so a client is able to register via email, get an autogenerated password and been able to log in or full access.
Basically we need two things.
First and the most important: make sure that clients are using them own real emails. Asking them to validate via email, with a password, validation button or any possible method. Using email address as user, self generating password and returning them via email is not an option as first time we are not able to make sure a client is introducing his email, not someone else's email.
Second, once a client visits the portal we need short period of time while a he registers to have internet access, so he can recieve confirmation email, or password needed or anything else in order to log in and have full internet access.
We will be glad to hear your recomendations.
Regards,

Hi infosey,
you can configure your domain as follow:
- General data- Authentication Mode - user self-registration
- Data to Customize Users Registration - Request the Username - use the email address
- Data to Customize Users Registration - Request the password - no self-generated
- Data to Customize Users Registration - Request Acceptance Conditions - yes
- Options for the Email Address - verify and send email notification set to yes (you can even customize the email sent)

An email like this:
Fotografia_dello_schermo_070720_091935_AM.jpg
will be sent to the user that has to click to confirm first his email address in order to use the credentials to login and surf the web.
The user that connects to the WP has some walled garden address that he can use (Like Gmail, Hotmail, etc) so he can reach his provider to read and accept confirmation email. If it is a private domain address you've to manually add the address into walled garden manually.
Or you can allow some ports, for example, POP3/IMAP ports.
Please note that manual walled garden rules will be automatically updated into your gateway if you use MikroTik. If you use another vendor, you've to manually do it.
Hope this can help.
Have a nice day.

Ok thanks, verification works fine.
Is there any where we can find walled garden domains for email accounts? such as gmail or hotmail walled garden?
