[Request] Delete cetificate files after successfull installation (Mikrotik)

by Gerard » 30 Mar 2022, 10:59

How do you feel about deleting the "certificate.key" and "certificate.crt" files after importing them to the system?
Those files are sensitive and shouldn't be on CPE equipment.

Thanks!
Kind regards.

Hi Gerard
If you want to have the Welcome Portal working with HTTPS, you can't delete the certificate from your Mikrotik otherwise it can't work

Best regards

Yes, you can,
Once the certificate is imported into the system it doesn't need to sit "idle" on Files.

Correct.
You can delete it from the files, but you cannot delete it from the Certificate section.

Yes, right.
My request was (maybe I didn't express good enough) to add a delete command of the certificate files after importing them.

You can add it to the custom commands.
They are launched at the end of the RSC configuration file during import.
