Problem with SMS SIM card

by emilvi » 16 Oct 2020, 09:39

I have 2 HSNM appliances and have had problems with one of these when I'm about to exchange the SIM card

I have checked the SIM card that it's working in a mobile phone, and it also works in the other HSNM appliance box
I have tested with another USB dongle
When I change the SIM card it shows up in the system with correct dBm for signaling

When sending SMS the system says it has sendt SMS but nothing arrives

So when setting back the old SIM that works (but is with wrong subscription) , all of the messages seems to be in queue and they arrives

Any suggestions

Dear Emil,
Please try to disable SIM PIN, then, once you change SIM, that your Provider message center number is correct:

Try to empty the HSNM cache than try to make a test by the integrated tool.
Have a nice day.

PIN code is turned off
Message center is correct
The new SIM is from the same provider, and the SIM card works in the other HSNM appliance box I have
I have also tested the other SIM card and that is the same, it works in HSNM2 but not in HSNM1

The only difference that we can see is that you've 2 different Keys.
First HSNM uses Onda (TM201).
Second HSNM uses Huawei (E173).
Please try to insert the Non-Working sim into the second modem (Huawei) then connect it to the First HSNM and make a test.
Let us know.
