PPPoE Users

by Ghufran » 31 May 2018, 15:39

Hi support,

I am one of your customers who has been using HSNM for much time.
Now I have to use HSNM also to manage my PPPoE users. Is there any option to import PPPoE user data into HSNM?
Can you please help and guide me?

Thanks a lot

Hi Ghufran,

Yes, you can import PPPoE user as well as you can do for other users.

Here's how to do it.

1. You have to create a domain who uses PPPoE as authentication mode;
2. Create the gateway under the created PPPoE domain;
3. From the contextual menu of the domain created at point 1, click on the "Tool for managing data" menu;
4. Run the "Export of registered user" tool in order to get an empty excel file with all the data to fill in;

Here are the list of data to fill in:

-HsDomainsDataID
-UserName
-Password
-PPPoEIPAddress
-DomainName

5. Fill in the data in the file excel. Red columns are the minimum data required;
6. Import the filled in file excel through the HSNM system utility function called "Import Data" (available from the menu with the wrench symbol)

Best Regards,
