Stability of the SMS modem HSNM Hardware and VM configurations. Sms, Email, Backup, Database

I have earlier used the SMS modem but had to change to a much more expensive SMPP solution to get it stable. Earlier the USB SMS modem had to be taken out of the box and put in again to get it up and running again. Is this solved in the newer versions (it's several years since I used the SMS modems, but would like to start using them again to get the cost down)

The last change did on USB modem managment probably was done on HSNM ver. 4.
I am pretty sure that USB modem recognization works well because, expecially in Italy, we have a lot of customers that are using it without any issue.

Remember that you must use one of the USB modems (listed below) supported by HSNM.
