How to enable mail validation/verification

by Mirkos » 06 Jun 2019, 16:36

Hi,
We already have set up our own system The thing is that we can do the "Verify e-mail" but we can't configured the "mail validation" with the validation link sent by mail. The link is correct but the scenario itself is not working.
The way we want to configure is:

1.The user connects to the Wi-Fi and it prompts Request the Email Address Request Acceptance Conditions" and Request Acceptance Processing Personal Data
2.After this when the user click Next, our idea is to provide 15min access do the internet so the user can check his e-mail and click on the e-mail verification link
3.Once the user clicks on that verification link the product associated to the user that was the 15min is replaced for a 2week product.

Is that possible? How do we set up this properly?

Thank you for your help once again,

Hi Mirkos
Yes, you can achieve what you need. Below I try to explain the steps to follow

1) Create the 15 min. products and the 2 weeks product
2) Create a domain with "With registration by the user" as "Authentication mode

3) Choose to "Request email address", "Acceptance conditions" and "Aceptance processing personal data"

4) Enable "Send e-mail notification" checkbox, then write the e-mail message on the "Email registration notification" text and click on </> in order to edit the HTML text, then insert the HTML code " <a href='%MailValidationLink%' target='_blank'>Click here</a>"

After that choose the 2 weeks product to the "Product at email validation"

5) On "Products for domain" add the 15. min products as "free" and the set to "YES" the "assign the free product" field.

6) Save the domain settings

For further information, I suggest you to read the HSNM Administration manual
