XCP-NG 8.2

Hi Team,

Trying to import the new OVA into our XCP virtualization but having no joy getting it to boot post install.

Originally we converted from the VMWare images into OVF and imported with success. the new V8/64 version is not so happy. It imports without error but doesn't boot follow POST.

Can import and operate in VMWare Player and also VirtualBox. So something with XCP it's not liking... Any hints / suggestions / compatibility issues or experience from other admins appreciated!

cheers

Dear Spike,
usually what could block boot is vDisk adapter setting.
Sometimes we fixed the boot by editing from LsiLogin to IDE but this could not be the case.
What we could recommend to you is to ask Xcp-Ng support for any kind of help.
Have a nice day.

Hi Team,

I've managed to boot into Rescue mode and gain access to the default system and update IP. I can only boot into Rescue mode. Ideally I need to find out why it isn't booting into full mode but having no access to the log files or system I can't do any further diagnosis.

I'll reach out to your support email and hopefully you can dial in quickly just to pull the logs and we can diagnose why it won't boot into full ..
