Hi there, i think the txt record is created correctly. it resolves to what it should, but the log keeps on saying i have to create a txt record in the dns record.

how can i fix that?

You can go to the cert edit and save to force the renew/recheck.

No,
once the system renews the cert, the gw will receive it automatically when the script DownloadHTMLPages runs.
