What is the difference between the "Hotspot Connections" and the "Welcome Portal Visitors" in the Number of connections and Visitors graph?

"Welcome portal visitors" are the numbers of guests that have loaded the welcome portal (login page), instead "Hotspot connections" are the number of connection/session (login and logout) made by the guest.
