Export of user connection logs

by jnsilver » 15 Dec 2017, 14:23

Hi,
I suggest to add the OS and the Browser to the exported files of the user connection logs.

Hi,
It's not possible to do that because there could be more than a device per user.

Best Regards.

Hi,
During an active session the user will use one specific device, isn't it? Therefore Browser and OS are fixed. In addition to that: you show browser and OS in the User Connection Log in the portal also.
Other point: Is there any reason why the public IP and the private IP are stored in the User Connection Logs? Is there any technical reason or is it for information only? According to EU-DSGVO, IP addresses are personal data and we have to prove that the data is necessary for operation and must explain it to the users in the privacy policy.
Thanks.

Hi,

about your first question yes, it's as you explained.

About IPs on the users' connections logs I can confirm you that currently, data from this log, are for information purpose.
Data you can get from the Users' traffic logs are for technical purposes instead.

So we can remove IPs from the users' connections logs export but, you still need to enter an explenation in the privacy policy about IPs that you can get from the Users' traffic logs.

Best Regards.
