Dashboard - Sumarry of Traffic

by lpapanastasiou » 07 May 2018, 23:32

Hi
We are working with HSNM the last 3 months and we are using cards based on the total download + upload.
I noticed that the SUM of the data traffic at the dashboard of each domain is not the actual but is very calculated for each GB.
What i mean is  that i had traffic of 2.35 Gbyte and on the dashboard the SUM was 2 Gbytes.
Moreover , seems that on the " Context Data" menu the calculated amount of data is correct but this is not changed when i selected to get the statistics for a interval of date . There  is always the amount of the data since the beginning
Please find below a printscreen in order to assist .
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/9xqj8xgc86y9 ... 2_isa?dl=0
Could you please include a fix to the next version ? Is very important for us to get this statistic.
Many thanks!

Hi lpapanastasiou,
There is no problem with the data visualization in your dashboard. Contex Data is always the total amount of data and so it does not change even if you refresh the dashboard with a different period of time. The only fields that changes if you refresh the dashboard with a different period of time are those with the description "Period Values".
Also, be informed that the data showing in the period value fields are all rounded up.
Best Regards.

Hi Support
Regarding the Context Data noted and clear.
Regarding the traffic field on the dashboard , the situation is as below.
If the traffic is less than 1 Gbyte the amount of traffic is correct . For example 645 Mbytes/
If the traffic is more than 1 Gbyte is calculated per Gbyte . 1GB , 2 GB etc .
I never saw a traffic of 1.45 Gbyte for example but is always a integεr number of Gbytes
Seems that the algorithm that calculate the traffic does not calcualte the Mbytes after the first Gbyte.
Hope that is clear .
Thanks
Best Regards

Hi lpapanastasiou,

Please be advised that the data traffic field are always rounded so they are rounded too when data exceeds 1GB that is why you see a specific amount of data, say for example for 645MB you will be seeing 2GB instead of 2,35GB.
However, dont worry as the developers will see if they can visualize those data without rounding them up.

Hi lpapanastasiou,

Please be advised that starting from the next HSNM update, available in the next few days, the value of traffic field will now have two decimals. So if the generated traffic was 2,35GB the traffic field will show the same.
