Notifications to Users

Hi,

I've recently upgrade from v5 to v6 (loving the new interface!) and spotted this in the changelog against v6.0.141

29) New In the contextual menu of System, Reseller and Manager, a new option has been added that allows defining notifications. Notifications to users, of coming expiration previously managed in the General Options, have been moved to this page if you are accessing at system level.

I'm currently running v6.0.171, but although my Resellers and Managers have the Notifications context menu the only options available to them are "Status of Gateways and Access Points" as in the attached screenshot.

Should they also be able to configure the email expiration messages also?

Thanks,

Dean

Hi clannet,

sms and email notification have always been managed at Domain level for the Manager.

What changed in the new HSNM version is that all the default system notification configuration, that were under General Options, are now under a specific menu, called Notification, in the contextual menu of System.

At the same time, in the contextual menu of Reseller and Manager, has been added the same Notification menu that, however, has less options than the ones at System level.

Best Regards.

Hi Support,

Ah, OK thank you.

So does that mean managers should be able to customise the email sent to users when a product expires per domain and if so, where do I find that option?

Many thanks,

Dean

Hi Dean,

no, it doesn't. "Upcoming Expiration" notification is settable only in the Notification section in the System contextual menu.

Best Regards.

Hi,

Would it be possible to add a variable for the reseller name that can be used in the expiration email? A number of our resellers manage the customer relationship directly, so the expiration email should be addressed from them rather than the manager.

Thanks,

Dean
