Meaning of forced closure 2

by clannet » 10 Mar 2020, 23:35

Hi,

Can you tell me what "forced closure 2" means please in the user connection log? I can't find reference to it in the Administrator Manual.

Many thanks,

Dean

Hi Dean,
“Forced closure 2” can be written when the gateway doesn't send any further update regard device (Interim Update) so it's considered disconnected.
In other words, a connection has remained open without a "STOP" and a "'cause of disconnection".
Have a nice day

Hello,

Ah thank you, that makes sense :)

Can you tell me what the timeout is from the last accounting interim update and when HSNM would class the session as disconnected?

Many thanks,

Dean

this value is now fixed to 120 seconds.
In version 7.x , this value will be the interim update (value in seconds) x 2.
FYI Interim update value is set into product policy.
