Track MAC-Address for free daily access HSNM administration backend general discussion

Hi,
We created a free product "30 mins per Day". Users must register to get it.
We experienced that user register with different data again and again over the day. Is it possible to track the MAC address of the used device to take care that the free product can be used once a day only?

You can track the MAC ADDRESS connections' LOGs, exporting the "Users' connection LOGs". To do that click on the domain's contextual menù and then on "Export data" menù

Then click on "Run" command to have the .CSV file with all the users connections LOG.

Anyway to avoid this issue you can enable the "Enable MAC address" checkbox

I activated the checkbox "Enable Mac Address". But I'm still able to re-register again with the same device. So I can have multiple times the free access per day instead of limiting it to one use per day.

Which HSNM version do you have? Sorry but on the latest versions there is a BUG on this checkbox.
Our developers are fixing it. I think you can find the fix on next HSNM release

I upgraded our HSNM to the latest version (5.0.133 Stable). The bug is still there. Can you address it again.

Hi,
I did some checks but the "Enable MAC Address" feature is working fine now.
Are you trying from the preview or from a real gateway? The preview doesn't consider the MAC Address.
Eventually can you provide me your domain configuration in order to be able to performe some test with your same configuration?

I try from a real gateway. Attached is a screenshot from the domain settings.
I'm still able to register again with the same device but other username when the free time is over.

Hi jnsilver,
I received your email and I've just finished to do some tests.
The problem is generated by the "Login Expiration for Mac Address" field set to -1.
Setting it to -1 HSNM doesn't consider the MAC address not only for "Automatic Login for Mac address" feature but even for "Enable Mac Address" feature.
Please can you explain why you set it in that way? What was your goal?
