Expire old devices

by Andrushka » 02 May 2023, 11:36

Hi
Is there any way to expire old devices within a user account?
The problem we have is that customers have bought a subscription with a policy of say 3 concurrent devices and maximum of 6 devices in total.
Some customers return to the same venue each year and of course many have bought new phones etc. since their last visit. However the devices that they owned 3 or more years ago are still associated with their account, so they get a device limit error message when they try to connect their new device for the first time.

Hi,
this is actually not possible in an automated way.
A manual admin operation can do this. You can access the user connection log and disassociate a selected Mac address.
This can be avoided by setting unlimited devices and fixing only concurrent devices.
Have a great day.
