HSNM VM and Mikotik on a similar physical network HSNM administration backend general discussion

An ISP user wants to keep the CCR gateway and HSNM VM on the same sub-net LAN /29. The issue is that DNS resolution problem occur and redirection page cannot be opened. The google DNS were replaced with ISP own DNS but still same issue. CCR Eth1 is connected with Internet router directly and Eth-2 is connected with AP directly. Want to know should I put static routed for Gateway Eth-1 CCR in this case, or use DHCP on WAN-1 and connected ISP router via DHCP enabled L2 switch. What is the most recommended.

Hi Imtiaz!
We provide support on HSNM bugs or issue not on how to configure your networks for HSNM.
Anyway you can configure HSNM and the HotSpot Gateway in the same /29 network without any route.

If you have problem resolving name, check you DNS: it is not an HSNM problem

yes, thanks. I wan t o only highlight that we should not insist on google DNS as we were stuck up here as the ISP in PK have blocjed OPen DNS ang Google one. When we used local DNS, issue resolved.
