Feature Request - Add PPP Radius Service to Mikrotik Hotspot Gateways General questions and topics about hsnm

Hi Team,

We would like to request that the PPP service within the Radius settings of a Miktrotik gateway is enabled, or have the option select PPP and hotspot.

We would like this feature as we often build hybrid Hotspot/PPPoE Routers for large camp sites/apartment blocks that also have permenant residents whom need something more than just a hotspot connection.

We currently have a work around that invloves alot of scripts and customisation, but any time the router rebuilds it's scripts and scheduales it disables it an we need to rebuild, so we'd like to have this as a permenant option if at all avialable.

we currently don't have this kind of solution.
I will put it into our wishlist.

Please note that you can configure a hotspot into your hsnm, then add a custom script (or more) under Mikrotik gateway configuration.

If you change the DownloadHTMLPages at the end of the script it has ..

If this was changed to

:foreach counter in=[/radius find] do={/radius set service=ppp,hotspot numbers=$counter};

It would achive the desired result.

We already have custom scripts, We currently take the DownloadHTML pages script, replicate it and add the ppp into the /radius set service as mentioned. However when the scripts scheduales are automaticlly removed and rebuilt it removes our custom scripts, therfore that is not a long term solution unless the way the scripts/scheduales are removed and rebuilt are changed.

we cannot make it as public configuration because thousands of users use it as is.
We do not recommend customization, because it can be compared the HSNM operativity.
